Hey everyone,
So this morning I went to an advising appointment to help me figure out my schedule for next semester. It went really well and hopefully I can get all of the classes I want to take next spring. I also explored the idea of majoring in Spanish. I really want to study abroad next fall, and if I study abroad in Spain for an entire academic year, I can actually major in Spanish. Today I looked up what possible jobs I can get with a Spanish Major and the opportunities are endless. I do enjoy teaching and I would want to be a teacher, but in all honesty, it's really hard to see myself stuck in a classroom day after day. I found that with a Spanish Major, I'm able to work for the government in the Department of Defense, the Peace Corps and even the United Nations. I could really make a difference in the world. I also found that I could use a Spanish Major in journalism, writing and photography. If you know me, you know that recently I've really wanted to explore photography. Also, since I write this blog, you probably know that I love to write. There are just so many jobs out there and so many adventures I've yet to experience.
Phew, that was a large rant. Anyway, my head is spinning, but in kind of a good way. There are so many options for me and it's fantastic.
The rest of the day should be interesting. I have class all day and then work literally all night. I have class until 2:20 then I go to work at preschool from 2:30 until 9:30. I know that sounds long and horrible, but tonight at preschool I also get to take a class and become CPR certified so that's awesome. I'm so exhausted, but all I can do is take it day by day.
At least I leave for New York on Friday. Thank goodness. Did I mention I can't wait? Yes? Well, I am. Like so insanely excited.
Well that's all for now. As always, you guys are the best. Have a wonderful day! (or night- I have no idea where in the world you are or when you'll be reading this)
Until Tomorrow,
SimplyMe
