Target Escapades and GRSF Day Two

2 August 2015

Target. Every Minnesotan girl's best friend. We Minnesotans are proud to have started the first Target, and many of us can be found wandering up and down the aisles for hours on end just to pass time. As I picked up Jess and we headed to Target, I double checked my list of groceries and miscellaneous supplies I needed to pick up for my apartment. There's another thing about shopping at Target. You go in with a strict list of necessary things to purchase, yet you leave with over one hundred dollars in things you didn't even image you needed in your life. I went in specifically for ice cube trays and mason jars. I came out with them and a few more splurge items. But how could I pass up a 5 Seconds of Summer tank top for only 15 bucks? I also gave into my One Direction obsession and bought the Where We Are live concert DVD. So much for just getting the necessities.

After blowing an outrageous amount of money for a broke college student, Jess and I decided to make lunch at my apartment instead of going out. Our lunch consisted of peanut butter Nutella sandwiches and some chips and salsa. With our bellies full we headed to the last performance of GRSF's Much Ado About Nothing.

Shakespeare's rom-com Much Ado About Nothing is a brilliant bit of entertainment that has something to offer every audience member. It was a fantastic play that had Jessica and I laughing until our stomachs hurt.

Right after the play I quickly ran back to my apartment, shoveled down a microwave mac n cheese cup, and headed to work.

Oh the wonder that is the Winona 7 Movie Theater. Who doesn't love serving popcorn to rude customers and coming home smelling like fake butter? All joking aside, it's a good job. We get free movies and free popcorn while we work. Also, while every movie is playing, we pretty much get paid to chat, read or do our homework. Sure, when someone calls an icee a smoothie, or when someone asks for a drink, not specifying the size or type of pop, my job sure can test my patience, but I love it.

Well today's blog has been a lot less exciting than I hoped for, but that's alright. Not everyday can be an adventure. Tomorrow will hopefully bring more fun. Kailee is coming home from Lalapalooza, and it's her eighteenth birthday. This could get interesting...

Until Tomorrow,
